Music as the Emotional Origin

For LEE-U, music is always the beginning. Every project starts with sound — a melody, a chord progression, or a quiet emotional impulse that cannot yet be visualized. Music is not a background element or a supporting layer; it is the emotional origin from which everything else grows.

This belief defines LEE-U’s identity as a Vietnamese multidisciplinary artist, where music is treated as the core language of emotion, and all other disciplines respond to it.

Film as an Expansion of Sound

In LEE-U’s creative world, film does not exist independently from music. Instead, it functions as an extension — a way to translate sound into movement, light, and atmosphere.

Visuals are shaped by rhythm, pacing, and emotional tone rather than narrative structure alone. A song is not illustrated; it is felt again through images.

One Emotion, Multiple Forms

Rather than separating music and film into different creative stages, LEE-U works with both simultaneously. The same emotion may appear as a lyric, a silence, a camera movement, or a frame held slightly longer than expected.

Minimalism and Emotional Space

A key element of LEE-U’s creative philosophy is restraint. By reducing excess, his work leaves space for the audience to enter emotionally. Silence, stillness, and simplicity become active elements rather than absences.

This minimalistic approach allows emotion to resonate more deeply — not through explanation, but through presence.

Beyond Genre and Discipline

LEE-U does not position his work within fixed genres. His focus is not whether a project is music, film, or visual art, but whether it communicates emotion honestly.

This perspective allows him to move freely between disciplines while maintaining a coherent artistic identity defined by tone, mood, and emotional intention.

A Philosophy That Shapes the Future

As LEE-U continues developing new projects for 2025–2026, this philosophy remains central. Music leads, establishing emotional direction, while film follows, expanding that direction into a cinematic experience.

Through this approach, LEE-U is building a creative universe where disciplines do not compete, but collaborate — guided first by sound, and completed through image.
